The Seneca Transit System (STS) operates with strong support and financial assistance from the Seneca Nation's leadership. Several years of planning and growing cooperative relationships with neighboring communities laid the foundation which first brought OATS to the Allegany Territory for limited service in 2011. This expanded as a Tribal Transit Program to connect the Nation's Alleganyand Cattaraugus Territories in 2012. The service is financed by the Seneca Nation with assistance from several Federal Transit Administration programs.

Support from Seneca officials, members and the many communities along our routes provides the basis for continued service and expansions. Future plans include establishment of a Transit Center in the Irving area of the Cattaraugus Territory and additional routes to better link the Territories and the Southern-Tier to the Buffalo Niagara urban area. STS strives to provide safe, quality, dependable, economical, and courteous public transportation to Nation members as well as residents and visitors to the Territories, surrounding communities and the general public.
