Public notice is hereby given that the Seneca Nation of Indians Department of Transportation is seeking public comment on the Proposed Schedule changes to the Seneca Transit System (STS), the effective date of the proposed changes is January 15, 2018.
Proposed: Deletion of Dayton Post Office stop. STS will continue along the established route through Dayton, with Dayton becoming a flag stop. Additionally, proposed route modification will be made to the Seneca Nation Administrative Complex in Irving, NY, to include an added stop at the Seneca Nation Early Learning Childhood Center (ECLC). Schedule times for all stops have been adjusted accordingly

Please note service will continue to operate from 6:15 am to 9:30 pm Monday through Friday and 9:00am to 11:59pm Saturdays, as detailed on our schedules available on our website ( and Facebook (Seneca Transit System).

Additionally, STS will no longer run the three (3) Special Event Schedules

  • The Marvin “Joe” Curry Veterans Pow Wow
  • The Cattaraugus County Fair
  • Seneca Nation Fall Festival

Comments on the Proposed Schedule revisions are invited from the general public, human service agencies, business and community centers.

If you wish to comment on the Proposed Schedule changes you should submit your comments within thirty days of the publication of this notice. The Seneca Nation of Indians will consider all comments prior to implementing the proposed changes.
