New Project

The Greater Buffalo-Niagara Regional Transportation Council (GBNRTC) is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Erie and Niagara Counties.

NYSDOT has proposed the addition of one (1) new project to the FFY 26-30 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

This project will resurface the existing pavement and overlay it with additional asphalt to prevent further deterioration along Rainbow Blvd and NY 104 in the City of Niagara Falls in Niagara County.

Total project cost is $3.236M. Fiscal Constraint maintained as $3.236 funding will be transferred from PIN 5B15.55 Pavement Maintenance Block Fund.

Anticipated let (obligation) will be 4/28.

Proposed Transportation Conformity exemption: A10: Pavement resurfacing and/or rehabilitation.

Public comments will be received for 30 days from 4/16/26 until Close of Business (COB) on 5/15/26.
