PIN 5033.19 NY 425 (Twin Cities Highway); 1-290 to Niagara County Line
New Project
The Greater Buffalo-Niagara Regional Transportation Council (GBNRTC) is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Erie and Niagara Counties.
NYSDOT has proposed the addition of one (1) new project to the FFY 26-30 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
PIN 5033.19 NY 425 (Twin Cities Highway); 1-290 to Niagara County Line will:
Restore the pavement to a good condition with a pavement score of at least 8 using cost effective treatments which provide a service life of at least 8 years.
Improve mobility and safety between 1-290 and Young Street.
Improve drainage at Youngs Street intersection and sidewalk at East Niagara Street.
Total project cost is $6.773M. Fiscal Constraint maintained as $6.773M will be transferred from PIN 5B15.55 Pavement Maintenance Block Fund (Erie & Niagara).
Anticipated let (obligation) will be 4/28.
Proposed Transportation Conformity exemption: A10: Pavement resurfacing and/or rehabilitation.
Public comments will be received for 30 days from 3/19/26 until Close of Business (COB) on 4/20/26.
