New Project

The Greater Buffalo-Niagara Regional Transportation Council (GBNRTC) is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Erie and Niagara Counties.

NYSDOT has proposed the addition of one (1) new project to the FFY 26-30 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

The objective of this project is to improve roadway safety by evaluating and upgrading curve warning signage on Town roadways. The project will inventory existing signs, assess compliance with MUTCD standards, determine advisory speeds where needed, and implement targeted signage improvements. Additional low-cost roadway departure safety countermeasures may also be implemented where identified during the design process

Anticipated let (obligation) will be 10/15/27.

Total project cost is $409,570. Fiscal constraint will be maintained as project was awarded $389,092 (RwDSAP) and includes a 5% local match of $20,478.

Proposed Transportation Conformity exemption: A6 - Highway Safety Improvement Program implementation.

Public comments will be received for 30 days from 4/16/26 until Close of Business (COB) on 5/15/26.
